5:00 AM – Pickup from Your Hotel in Kolkata

Your private Day Trip to Gangasagar begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Kolkata.

Meet your private guide and driver and begin your journey towards the southern part of West Bengal. The early departure is necessary to allow sufficient time for the road journey, ferry crossings and exploration of Gangasagar.

5:00 AM – 8:00 AM – Drive from Kolkata to the Ferry Point

Travel south from Kolkata in a comfortable private air-conditioned vehicle.

As you leave the city behind, enjoy changing views of suburban neighbourhoods, villages, agricultural landscapes and rural Bengal. The journey itself provides an interesting contrast to the busy streets and urban life of Kolkata.

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM – Ferry Crossing to Sagar Island

On arrival at the ferry point, proceed towards the jetty and board the ferry for the crossing of the Muriganga River.

After reaching Sagar Island, continue by local transportation towards the Gangasagar pilgrimage area.

9:45 AM – 11:45 AM – Visit Gangasagar and Kapil Muni Temple

Arrive at Gangasagar and visit the revered Kapil Muni Temple.

Your guide will explain the mythology, history and religious significance associated with the destination. Learn about the legend of King Sagara, Sage Kapila and the sacred descent of the River Ganges.

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM – Ferry Crossing Back to the Mainland
