Tour Itinerary

- 5:00 AM – Pickup from Kolkata
  • Early morning pickup from your hotel or residence in Kolkata by a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
  • Begin your journey towards Godkhali, the gateway to the Sundarbans (approximately 3-4 hours drive).
- 8:30 AM – Arrive at Godkhali and transfer to a motorized boat.
  • Welcome drink (tea/coffee) served on board as the boat begins its journey through the rivers and creeks of the Sundarbans.
- 9:00 AM – Cruise through the Mangroves
  • Cruise through the dense mangrove forests, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as spotted deer, wild boars, crocodiles, and various bird species.
  • The boat will pass through narrow creeks and larger rivers, offering stunning views of the landscape.
  • A knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the unique flora and fauna of the Sundarbans.
- 11:00 AM – Visit Sajnekhali Watchtower
  • Disembark at Sajnekhali Watchtower, one of the most popular spots in the Sundarbans for wildlife viewing.
  • Visit the nearby Mangrove Interpretation Centre to learn more about the ecology of the Sundarbans.
  • Enjoy the scenic beauty of the area and, if lucky, spot wildlife from the watchtower.
- 12:30 PM – Lunch on Board
  • Return to the boat for a traditional Bengali / Indian lunch, featuring local delicacies.
  • Continue cruising through the Sundarbans, exploring different parts of the mangrove forest.
- 2:00 PM – Visit Sudhanyakhali Watchtower
  • The boat will take you to Sudhanyakhali Watchtower
  • Enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the possibility of spotting wildlife from the watchtower.
- 4:00 PM – Return to Godkhali
  • After a day of exploring the Sundarbans, the boat will head back to Godkhali.
  • Tea / Coffee will be served on board during the return journey.
- 5:00 PM – Drive Back to Kolkata
  • Upon arrival at Godkhali, transfer back to the vehicle for your return journey to Kolkata.
  • Relax and enjoy the drive back after an adventurous day in the Sundarbans.
- 9:00 PM – Drop Off in Kolkata

The sightseeing boat is Non-Air-Conditioned, which is standard for all day tours in the Sundarbans.
Wildlife sightings, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, depend entirely on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

 Verified Santiniketan and a sleepy car ride
This is a lovely trip and a very long day. It worked well for me on my first day in Kolkata as I adjusted to exhaustion and the time difference. It involves a very long car ride alongside rice paddies and small towns (I saw a monkey), with lovely music, a driver and a guide. When you get to Santiniketan, there is a local guide awaiting you. You can walk the outside of the campus, see old buildings and trees and go into a museum. My guide worked hard to ensure my day was exactly what I wanted.

 Verified Kolkata Sightseeing
I had the pleasure of spending a day with Mr. T. Mukherjee and Mr. Ravi Shankar in Kolkata. Was very positively surprised, when on short notice I requested a change of pickup time and place and immediately got a confirming reply. Mr. Shankar is the man for the dates and facts of all Kolkata adding a bit of local Couleur, while Mr. Mukherjee makes sure you feel good and are comfortable. The tour contained all the must-sees but was adjusted in reference to the order depending on your personal needs (early lunch, coffee break etc). There was always an Option A and Option B and I decided which one I preferred. It was a wonderful day and I can only recommend these 2. The fee is more on the higher side, but I considered it very much worth it! Book them!

 Verified Trip to Shanti niketan and city tour
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide in Kolkata. He was engaging and attentive throughout, and clearly went above and beyond to take care of us. Rather than just sticking to the typical tourist spots, he made sure we experienced the everyday rhythm of local life too — which ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. He had a wonderful way of bringing history to life, sharing the stories behind the places we visited rather than just reciting facts. We enjoyed Ravindra Sangeeta during the ride to Shanti Niketan. During the city tour, He introduced us to charming, nostalgic local cafés instead of steering us toward the usual 5-star spots, which gave us a much more authentic taste of the city. What really stood out was how thoughtful and prepared he was — he carried umbrellas for us, kept snacks in the car, and even had hand sanitizer and face-cleansing towelettes on hand. It’s the kind of attention to detail you don’t expect but deeply appreciate. On top of that, his warmth and compassion toward the local people he interacted with said a lot about his character. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for a guide who treats you like family and gives you a real feel for Kolkata, not just a checklist of sights
